Deploying a website with Git

Apps & Docker 02/11/2026
Use the Git deployment tool when your website source is stored in a repository. Add the repository address, choose the deployment directory and select the branch that should be published.

Keep secrets such as database passwords and private keys outside the repository. Configure the application environment on the server and test the deployment with a safe example site before pointing a live domain to it.

After each deployment, check the homepage, forms, login, database connection and email. If the site fails, review the deployment log and return to the last known working commit.
